Cell Phone
Program
To enhance the A.W.A.R.E. initiative, the Domestic
Violence Bureau has a Cell Phone Program with
equipment donated by Verizon, members of the
N.Y.P.D. and private citizens. Cellular telephones
are given to victims of domestic violence. The
phones are free of charge and are programmed to call
911, in case of an emergency. |
