A
failure to act in a reasonable
manner, or a failure to perceive a
risk of harm to others.

DANGEROUS INSTRUMENT |
Any instrument, including a motor
vehicle which when used in it’s
ordinary manner, can cause death or
serious physical injury.

DUTY
OF CARE |
Obligation of all citizens to be
reasonably careful to not harm
others.

PHYSICAL INJURY |
Substantial pain or impairment
(harm) to a physical condition.
|
|
RECKLESSNESS |
Knowledge of a risk of harm to
others, and a conscious disregard of
that risk.

|
SERIOUS PHYSICAL INJURY |
Injury that causes risk of (1)
death; (2) serious disfigurement;
(3) loss of function of a bodily
organ. |
