In 1996, District Attorney
Hynes, the Office of Court Administration and Chief
Judge Judith Kaye started the first felony domestic
violence court part in the nation.
Since then, six domestic
violence court parts have opened including:

two misdemeanor domestic
violence court parts
·
two felony domestic
violence court parts
·
two integrated domestic
violence court parts
Dedicated victim advocates offer
comprehensive referral services, counseling and
safety planning to all of the victims in our felony
cases.
