The People's Law School is a public information initiative established by District Attorney Charles J. Hynes in 1991 to educate citizens about the District Attorney's Office and the criminal justice system. Authorities on the subject matter, including Assistant District Attorneys and other professionals, lead discussions and talk about their area of expertise. Participants have an opportunity to ask questions and comment during the class.  Community groups can customize a curriculum to suit their needs.  The topics include:
