The Young People's Law School is
an offshoot of the Legal Lives program and the People's Law
School. It consists of a series of workshops about the
criminal justice system. It is specifically for young people
between the ages of 13 and 18. The lessons are interactive
and facilitated by Assistant District Attorneys. Guest
speakers may include police officers and/or other members of
law enforcement.
The District Attorney's Office responds
to requests for workshops. Topics include but are not
limited to:
- Internet Safety
- Gangs
- Reckless driving
- Teen dating violence
- Bullying
- Consequences to criminal activity
- The criminal justice system
