Domestic Violence Bureau - The bureau handles the
prosecution of all felony and misdemeanor domestic violence
cases as well as domestic violence homicides.

AWARE -
The program protects abused women by giving them emergency
necklace pendants and electronic systems to alert the police in
case of danger.

Barrier Free Justice - Services are provided for women from
the disabled or deaf community who are victims of domestic
violence and/or sexual assault.

Cell Phones - The phones are donated to victims who are
stalked.

Central Brooklyn Domestic Violence Program - (CBDVP) offers
outreach to stalking and abuse victims.

Court - Dedicated victim advocates offer comprehensive
referral services, counseling and safety planning to all of the
victims in our felony cases.

D.V. Task Force - Representatives from various organizations
work on issues concerning domestic violence victims.

Project Eden - Bridges the community with the criminal
justice system to negotiate the difficult process of reaching
Orthodox victims of domestic violence.

Elder Abuse Unit - The Unit handles all cases of
spousal/intimate partner abuse and parental abuse (including
parents, grandparents, great grandparents, etc) involving
victims age 60 years or older.

The Family Justice Center - (FJC) provides information and
services for domestic violence victims in one location. Clients
may walk in and choose which services they want, including
counseling, advocacy, meeting with a prosecutor, shelter and
housing help, and legal information - all while their children
play safely in the next room.

Project NYET - Is a community based initiative that
addresses domestic violence issues in the Russian speaking
community, through a network of confidential, culturally
sensitive services and educational programs. A staff counselor
is fluent in Russian. Services are free to the community.

Project Shield - Offers outreach to disabled individuals who
have been sexually assaulted.

Teen Dating Violence Program - Provides services to young
people ages 13-20.

The Victim
Services Unit - (VSU) provides safety, support, advocacy and
information to all individuals who have been criminally
victimized in Brooklyn.
