District Attorney Charles J. Hynes is committed to providing assistance to veterans who have returned to Brooklyn and have become involved with the criminal justice system as either offenders or victims. In this effort the Kings County District Attorneys Office has partnered with TASC, the case managers of KCDA’s DTAP Program, the clinicians of the Brooklyn Drug & Mental Health Courts, the US Department of Veteran Affairs, and the NYC Criminal Justice Agency to identify and treat veterans who have come into contact with the criminal justice system. 

            Veterans and/or members of their families, members of the defense bar, and members of the community are encouraged to contact my office for information about treatment options for offenders and victims.
