The Brooklyn District Attorney’s Office investigates and prosecutes crime, assists victims, and implements crime prevention strategies to improve public safety and the quality of life of Brooklyn’s residents. Much of the office’s work is handled by two principal divisions: Investigations and Trial. Additional specialized legal bureaus and units, including those dealing with special victims, work alongside these divisions to advance the agency’s objectives.
